The egg hunt
At the start of the season, the Château de Maulnes will become "The Sanctuary of Diana" and will host numerous activities: for Easter, its traditional egg hunt and throughout the Easter holidays, the treasure hunt "The Sleeping Garden".
Can you find the sacred eggs of the goddess Diana hidden in the gardens of the Château de Maulnes?
During the Easter weekend, April 19, 20 and 21 at 2:30 p.m. , come and take part in the golden egg hunt in an exceptional historical site, near Yonne, Aube and Côte d'Or.
Thousands of chocolate eggs have invaded the castle garden, and it's up to you to find them! Don't forget your basket to collect all the hidden eggs! There is a space for children under 8 years old, and another space for children over 8 years old.
New in 2025! The goddess Diana will also have hidden around thirty sacred eggs in the castle grounds. Some of these golden eggs will contain nice surprises, including the right to return to Maulnes for free throughout 2025...
An ideal activity for young people and families, to discover the castle in a fun way during the spring holidays. You can also enjoy the spring treasure hunt , which will allow you to visit the castle through the goddess of the hunt Diane.

Access : Located 1 hour from Auxerre, 1 hour from Troyes, 30 minutes from Châtillon-sur-Seine, the castle is accessible by car, and the parking lot is located below the castle.

A treasure hunt for everyone!
The castle garden is plunged into winter, and Henri, the young gardener, needs your help to awaken the four elements and bring back spring! You will have to solve puzzles and discover the secrets of the garden to help the young gardener revive the magic of nature. With your puzzle book and clues hidden in the castle, you can solve the riddle of the sleeping garden and learn how to grow the plants in the garden.
A fascinating treasure hunt through the castle decorated especially for the occasion, with three levels of difficulty for children of all ages. It's the perfect opportunity to enjoy a fun and educational experience with the family, ideal for the Easter holidays!
